Download the official Pith Media website assistent plugin and add it to your WordPress website.

    Open Plugins in WordPress

    Choose Add New Plugin, then Upload Plugin.

    Select the downloaded ZIP file

    You do not need to unzip the file.

    Click Install and Activate

    You will then find the plugin under Settings: Pith Assistent.

Step 3 explained

Connect your website securely.

Create a plugin key in WordPress and enter it for your website. You can do this yourself from your customer area.

    Create your plugin key

    In WordPress, open Settings → Pith Assistent and select Nieuwe sleutel aanmaken. Copy the key shown once.

    Paste the key for your website

    Go to My websites and choose Connect WordPress. Confirm with your customer area password.

    Check the connection

    Plugin connected means WordPress accepts your key. WhatsApp requests are activated separately.

Step 4 explained

Send your first message.

Authorise up to 2 WhatsApp numbers per website yourself. Then test the connection together with Pith Media.

You review the proposal and give approval.

What do I need?

A WordPress website running WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.3 or later, plus administrator access to install the plugin. Send requests from your own WhatsApp number. Compatibility with your theme, page builder and website elements must be checked first.

How do I know the connection works?

After a successful check, My websites shows Plugin connected, the plugin version and check date. This confirms the plugin connection. WhatsApp access also requires an active package and confirmed allowed numbers.

Where can I find the WhatsApp number?

The official number for Pith Media website assistent will appear here once configured. No number is available yet.

Can I connect a local .test website?

Yes, an explicitly allowed .test domain can be checked in this local environment. Install the same plugin and use the key from that test website. A public online service cannot automatically reach a website on your computer.

I'm not receiving a local confirmation email

This development environment does not send real email yet. The developer can retrieve the confirmation link from the local mail log. Use test data only here.
